Favourite Outerwear

It has gotten so cold in London this past week and my 3 weeks in Florida now seem a distant memory :(  I legit have two radiators and an electric heater on in this room whilst I type this!  Is anyone else just over winter now?  Hurry up spring! However, if you're not over winter or just need an excuse to go shopping then I have rounded up my favourite outerwear of the moment. ASOS Missguided HM Zara How do you stay warm and stylish? My Current Skincare Schedule

Now winter has fully taken hold in the UK (I thought it already had but apparently it gets colder, thanks London!) my skin has completely dried out and is crying for some much needed hydration.  That means I need to swap around my products in order to meet my skin's needs during these bitter winter months. Face Wipes Face wipes are probably not the best thing for dry skin as I find they tend to strip the skin of it's natural oils as well as dirt and makeup.  However, they are so quick and easy that I can't help but have them in my cabinet.  The ones I'm currently using are YesTo Grapefruit which are meant to be hydrating. Cleansing Oil After the wipes I go in with the oil to hydrate the skin a bit more and remove any stubborn bits of makeup.  I currently using The Body Shop Camomile Oil which is great because it comes with a pump and has lasted ages. Exfoliation You might think you don't want to exfoliate during the winter as it see

Time Out

Living in London can sometimes get quite overwhelming.  I love the city and it will always be my home but every now and again I find that I've burnt the candle at both ends again and I need a little down time.  Here are some of the ways I like to escape city life, relax and take time out. Take a Bath With candles and a Lush bath bomb.  I take more baths in the winter especially when it's really cold, nothing beats it.  However because I'm so cold I'll make the bath too hot and then can't sit in it for very long.  The best way is when someone else runs it for you! Do a Yoga Class As I mentioned in my fitness routine post , I like to do holistic exercises as well as cardio.  Yoga is one of the most relaxing exercises you can do and you feel so good afterwards and the rest of the day.  Even better, you're working out whilst relaxing, double win! Netflix and Chill No, not in that sense although you do you.  On a Friday night t

Drinking My Greens With The Body Coach

Recently I got an amazing opportunity to try out some of the juice recipes created by Joe Wicks AKA The Body Coach .  They sent me this awesome Philips juicer and all the ingredients I needed to create the juices.  I was most excited about this as I love eating healthy but find I don't always have time to cook and I'm also terrible at getting my 5-a-day so this seemed like the perfect solution. I was given 7 recipes to try, one for each day of the week so I never get bored.  The recipes are so quick and easy to make using the juicer, I couldn't believe it.  I love making them fresh in the mornings and feel like they really kick start my day. As well as juice recipes, the Body Coach also has an amazing book called ' Lean in 15 ' full of healthy meal ideas as well as workouts all only taking 15 minutes!  You can order the book here for less than £10!  I definitely want to get my hands on this book because it's perfect for people like me that don&

Vogue 100 Exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery

Last week I was invited to attend a preview of the new Vogue exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.  The exhibition is celebrating an amazing 100 years of Vogue! I can't believe it has been going that long, since the 1st World War!  So I was very excited to receive an invitation as I always love attending events at the National Portrait Gallery. The exhibition displayed all the best covers of the magazine and some of the beautiful photos from shoots that have taken place over the last 100 years.  I was in awe looking at the stunning photography of some of the most famous people in the world.  I was also fascinated to see some people that I hadn't even expected to appear in Vogue; The Queen, Boris Johnson?! The exhibition is split into separate rooms and each room is designated to a different decade.  It was lovely to see some of the people that have appeared in the magazine in years way before I was born and also to see how the covers have

Why Do You Workout?

I've decided to write January off and start a fresh in February.  Did anyone else do that? January was just a bit of a rubbish month for me but I'm determined not to let it ruin the rest of my year.  I have so many goals for this year already and now I'm excited! One of my goals for this year is to stay fit and healthy.  I've always been really good at going to the gym and people often ask me how I keep that habit up so I thought I'd share some of the reasons why I workout and maybe inspire you with some of your fitness goals. Body Transformation It's amazing what the human body can do if you help it reach it's potential.  When I workout I can see my body changing inside and out.  I see muscle growth and a more tone and lean self but also my well being improves, I can push myself for longer each time and I feel good. Sleep I always find I sleep better after a good exercise class. Energy Despite being able to sleep better b

What I Ate Today

Welcome back to the second instalment of 'What I Ate Today'.  If you missed the first one you can see it here .  I'm being a bit naughty today actually but forgive me, I am going through a stressful time at the moment and a girl needs her comfort food.  That's okay isn't it? BREAKFAST 1 slice of wholemeal toast with peanut butter 1 cup of almond milk LUNCH Mac and cheese 1 bottle of Evian water DINNER 1 slice of wholemeal toast with a poached egg 1 glass of orange squash SNACKS Half a bag of plantain chips A mug of hot chocolate Mmm maybe I haven't been as bad as I thought.  This is why I like writing it all down and putting it into perspective.  Still need more fruit though! The Winter Capsule Wardrobe

I think I find picking outfits in winter a lot easier than summer?  Chunky jumpers and a pair of skinnies are my go-to.  I also love a nice pair of ankle boots with tights and skater dresses.  So what's in my capsule wardrobe for winter? Skinny Jeans I prefer skinny jeans in winter and boyfriend jeans in summer.  I especially like dark skinny jeans and have a gorgeous navy pair from Zara which only cost about £25. Roll Necks and Chunky Jumpers Chunky jumpers worn over shirts or tight fitted roll necks tucked into jeans or skirts.  Or a combination of the two which is my ultimate fave; chunky turtle necks and cowl necks. Ankle Boots This is one item I truly believe every girl should have in her wardrobe.  They go with skinny jeans, skater dresses and pencil skirts.  I would wear ankle boots every day if I could, so comfy too. Over The Knee Boots I didn't know whether to include these or not because I know they're not for

American Clothing Haul

As I've mentioned before in this post and this post , the shopping in Orlando is amazing. They have huge shopping malls with American clothing stores that are so much cheaper than what they sell for in the UK but the best place to shop there is the outlet malls which give discounts of up to 90% off!  Insane but the perfect haven for fashionistas like you and I.
