Nutella Milkshake

I figured since I'd spent the majority of this month going on about my health kick and healthy eating this, exercising that, that it was time for a naughty treat.  Seeing as it's the end of the month and payday (can't forget that!) I'd show you one of my favourite treats to make in my Morphy Richards Easy Blend blender . They are super easy to make and all you need is Nutella, bananas and milk.  I like to use almond milk.  I throw in 2 bananas, 2 tablespoons of nutella and a cup of milk into the blender and wizz it up for about 1-2 minutes.  You could then add some squirty cream and chocolate syrup on top to finish.  Then you're done and they are sooooo yummy!   You could swap the milk for cream or ice cream if you wanted something a bit naughtier OR if you still wanted to try and stay healthy you can swap the nutella for hazelnuts and chia seeds.  However, you will want to soak the hazelnuts in water or half water/half milk to soften them first else they w

May Favourites

It’s that time of the month again, monthly favourites!  This month I’ve been enjoying a whole bunch of random things.  I’m going to try and do a video on it too so look out for that.  I’ve been a bit rubbish with posting videos recently as I’ve had so much studying to do, sorry about that.  I will be back on form once the exam is out the way (9 June!) Anyway, back to May favourites… Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation The foundation I’ve been loving this month is the Benefit Oxygen Wow foundation in ‘Honey you’re so money’.  I’ve only got a small bottle of this as I got it in the ‘How to be the best at everything’ kit but I think I will definitely purchase the large bottle.  It’s quite dewy which is good for my dry skin but not so much that it leaves you oily.  It’s the perfect shade for me too as I often fake tan. Maybelline Highlighter Pen in Ivory I recently bought this highlighter pen as I heard it was a dupe for the Mac prep and prime pens.  I think I

My Shoe Collection

This may be a rather long post.  I have over 500 pairs of shoes.  It's a bit of a problem.  I'm not going to show you all of them else we'd be here forever but these are my top 5 from each category! Boots Black cowboy boots - Tesco Grey boots - Primark Navy boots - River Island Stacey boots - Kurt Geiger Red boots - Miss Selfridge Trainers Converse Gold - H&M Wedged - Dorothy Perkins Snakeskin - H&M Nike Heels Gold wedges - Lucy's Boutique Black helena,  Blue & gold - Kurt Geiger Black stud - New Look Pink suede - New Look Sandals Black dune Silver and nude - Next Tesco tan KG wedges Gold and silver wedges - H&M You may have noticed that I didn't include a 'flats' section.  I intended to but when it came to it I realised that in fact I hardly wea

MAC Cosmetics: Beauty Bloggers' Favourites

Everyone loves a bit of MAC.  It's high end quality but not with too much of a high end price tag.  There are so many different products with different colours and finishes it's no wonder it's a favourite brand in the beauty world.  I've done a bit of research and carefully selected some of their all time, must have, wonder products. Lady Danger Lipstick This is an awesome colour; not quite red, not quite orange, just something bright and vibrant in the middle. Red is such a classic colour to wear and orange is meant to be the new red this session so this colour is perfect and on trend. Shroom Eyeshadow This eyeshadow is the perfect underbrow highlight and I think that's what a lot of people like it for.  It can also be used in the inner corner of the eye to brighten and make you look more awake (we all need a bit of that from time to time right?)  Pretty, shimmery and girly... can't go wrong. Florabundance Lipgloss This lipgloss just co

10 Things To Try In Superdrug

Now you know me, I’m a big drugstore girl at heart.  I love a bargain and if I can get something that’s just as good for half the price then I will.  So this post is going to feature my favourite drugstore products. MUA Eyeshadow Palettes I love everything in the MUA range really bcos it's so affordable.  The lipsticks start at just £1.  These palettes come in a lovely array of colours, you get 12 eyeshadows and for just £4.  You can't go wrong! Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer These lip lacquers are absolutely gorgeous.  Super pigmented and last for hours.  They're like a mixture between lipsticks and lipglosses so no need to fuss about with two different products. Sleek Blushers I've talked about these before on my blog as I love the rose gold colour for being a dupe of Nars orgasm.  I also like the palette blushers they do where you get 3 different colours for £10.  The packaging is rather swanky too! Maybelline Lipsticks So many differen

Beauty and Fashion Haul

With Spring pretty much here and Summer just around the corner in the UK I have been making a few purchases to get me in the mood (as if I need an excuse!)  There are so many pretty colours and patterns in the shops at the moment and I'm having to hold myself back from buying everything! I've also purchased some new skincare products as I've been running low on my old ones and fancied a changed.  And of course I couldn't help but add to my ever growing makeup collection with some new items so here is a video of me showing you everything I've bought over the last month or so... For details and links of all these items either open the video up in YouTube or go to my shop page  and to see me wearing some of the outfits check out my Instagram . Thanks for watching!  And remember to give a thumbs up if you like and subscribe for more!! Lauren xx Instagram | Twitter | YouTube - check out my Spring makeup tutorial using drugstore products her

The Green Juice

If you’ve read any of my latest blog posts you’ll know that at the moment I’m on a bit of a health kick.  I don’t know whether it’s with summer coming up (AKA holiday season AKA Ibiza) or whether it’s because I’ve invested in some healthy cooking equipment and cookbooks but either way it’s a good lifestyle change for me and I’m feeling the benefits! For Christmas my mum bought me a blender as I’ve wanted one for ages and this last month has seen me using it religiously.  A lot of people I see or hear of making juices or smoothies from a blender seem to only use fruit, which to be fair is a lot more tasty but I wanted to make mine super healthy and so I looked into some recipes for the infamous Green Juices I’ve heard so much about. I’ve found that making a green juice is actually just adding, well, greens to your usual fruit concoction and you know what, you can hardly taste the greens at all.  Here are two of my favourite recipes: Kiwi x 2 Banana 1 cup almond milk 1

Non Beauty Favourites

Nikon D3300 Digital SLR Camera I think I've mentioned this camera in another blog post (or it may have been the D3200) but I have been in the market for a really decent camera for ages now and still haven't gotten around to getting one.  I feel like if I'm going to spend that sort of money I want a really good excuse to buy it and I figured as I'll be taking my final exam next month maybe I should treat myself then?  This camera looks the nuts so I'm hoping to get my hands on one soon! Sneakers I've seen a lot of people rocking these types of slip on sneakers with a sort of chunky sole (click on the link above to see what I mean) and I found these really cool ones in H&M about a month or so ago.  The ones I have are snake skin print which I don't think they stock anymore but I've found some leopard print ones that are just as cool and only £12.99! I think I'm going to get a lot of wear out of them this Spring and they're super co

The Balm Nude Tude Palette

I bought this palette around Christmas time last year so quite a few months ago now and I feel like I can do a proper review of it. I originally bought it because I already had the Naked 1 palette by Urban Decay (which I love) but I felt it didn't have enough 'everyday' matte colours in it and I'm quite a big fan of neutral matte colours.  So I saw this on Feel Unique and thought I would give it a try.  I love it. I'd say it's probably my favourite palette at the moment because it has a nice ratio of mattes to shimmers making it perfect for travelling.  It's also a good palette when you haven't got much time and you don't wanna to fanny around looking for different colours in other palettes 'that will go' with your look.  You can create lots of different looks to suit whatever occasion in this one palette.   It's not a bad price either at £26.50 for 12 eyeshadows. I particularly like this look I created when I went t
