The Lipstick Colours You Need For Spring

A new season means a new wardrobe including a new makeup wardrobe!  I think I'm definitely more of a spring/summer girl over autumn/winter when it comes to colour palettes.  Peaches, corals, nudes and pinks are my favourites to wear on my lips during this time of year.  Here are some of my go-to's.. Buenas Aires by NYX is a soft peach No 10 by MUA is the perfect coral Audacious by Revlon is a bright orange Stockholm by Nyx is one of my favourite nudes What are your favourite spring lip colours? Now that the weather is finally starting to warm up in London and the upcoming bank holiday weekend is normally the start of the warm weather, I am super excited for getting outside and exploring my home town!  I might be bias but I do believe that London is one of the best cities to enjoy during the summer and when the weather is nice. If you're thinking of visiting London this summer here are is a list of some of the cool events taking place that I definitely want to join in on. Re-visit Hampton Court Palace Take a yoga class at The Shard See a show at The Globe Visit the Whispering Gallery at St Paul's Go for Afternoon Tea Go for Bottomless Brunch Visit the Poetry Library Drive out to Hove for the day Re-visit the Tower of London Cross the Thames in a Cable Car Go to a day festival Watch an old movie at the Luna open air cinema Will you be visiting London this summer?  What will you do? The Super Cute £8 Pink Loafers

When I saw that Gucci had brought our their cult loafers in pink metallic I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.  However, when I then saw the price tag I just died inside.  I just couldn't justify spending that much money on something I knew I wouldn't get much wear out of.  PLUS, being vegan I am trying to cut out buying real leather. So you can imagine how incredibly happy I was when I saw these beauties in Primark. Almost identical but at 50 times less of the price tag and cruelty free.  I saw them a while back on their Instagram and couldn't find them anywhere in store so thought I'd sadly missed out but about a month ago I visited their Oxford Street store and there they were sitting pretty along with another 5 different colours. I must say, they are not the most comfortable and you definitely have to have plasters on hand when wearing them but they do look so cute.  I bought them in a size 5 (I'm normally a 6 in Primark) and they fit perfectly.

Drugstore Beauty Products That Actually Work

I love a bargain as much as the next person and recently the drugstore has really upped it's game in the makeup department.  Drugstore products can sometimes be a bit hit and miss and often I prefer to stick with higher end products because I know they'll work.. buy cheap, buy twice and all that.  However, these are some of my favourite drugstore products that do actually work. EX1 Foundation I've mentioned this product so many times it's definitely my holy grail foundation.  I'm not sure it's strictly drugstore but I get mine on Feel Unique for around $12. The Balm Betty Lou Manizer I'm a big fan of shimmery bronzers that double up as highlighters and this one doesn't disappoint.  In the summer I even put it all over for an overall sun kissed look. Sleek Rose Gold Blush I swear this blush is a dupe for Nars orgasm.  It's really sheer with just a wash of colour and a slight shimmer. Freedom Brow Pomade I feel like

My Netflix List

Netflix has been around for a good few years now and pretty much everyone and their dog has it right?  Nope, I don't have Netflix.  I know!  BUT I'm much more of a book/writing person than a watching films/TV person.  I literally never have my TV on, it's redundant. However, I recently decided that maybe it's about time I get with the programme (literally!) and sign up to Netflix. I always hear people talking about all the good shows and films they offer and seeing as it's so ridiculously cheap, why the hell not.  So I made up a list of the shows I want to see.. whether I will actually watch any of them is a different story!  Does anyone have any to add though because I think it's safe to say I am fairly out of the loop when it comes to this ;) 2 Broke Girls 90210 American Horror Story Breaking Bad Broadchurch Desperate Housewives Devious Maids Gossip Girl Happy Valley House of Cards Jane The Virgin Making a Murder Melissa

Monday Greys

Monday is actually one of my favourite days of the week.  Friday and then Monday I would say.  I like Mondays because it's a chance to start over.  A fresh week and a fresh start. I've recently been loving the colour grey and Monday just seemed like an appropriate day to wear it. However, that's the only thing I like grey about my Monday! 5 Ways To Treat Yourself

When you're feeling a bit down and need a little pick me up, here are some ways to make you feel better because YOU ARE AWESOME and don't you let anyone ever tell you differently! Online Shopping Had to put this one first because it's probably the one I go to most to cheer me up.  Nothing makes me feel better than a good ASOS order! Baking Find a recipe on Pinterest for something yummy and cook up a treat.  The whole house will smell heavenly and you just can't beat the taste of a warm baked good! Pampering If you can't get to a spa or afford one, create your own little spa at home.  Get out all your skincare and nail polishs, have a long soak in the bath and relax. Book A Holiday You don't even have to go that far if your budget doesn't allow but just some time out and a different routine can do you the world of good.  It's also nice to have something to look forward to. Friends & Family Pick up the

Monthly Favourites

I haven't done a favourites in sooo long!  Here are a few things I've been loving lately. Cosy jumpers I know we're going into Spring now but I still love a cosy jumper and will continue to wear them until summer as I always feel the cold! Jumper - ASOS Budapest I spent a few days here last week and loved it so much.  I really want to see more of Eastern Europe, full blog post coming soon! Veganism There are so many people becoming vegan now and so many restaurants and products in the supermarkets, this all makes me so happy! Vegan Love in Budapest Poetry Specifically Ernest Hemingway.  I've loved poetry, I'm not sure I've ever shared that on the blog as it's something very personal to me but I bought 2 more of Hemingway's books recently and they're simply beautiful. The Balm Betty Lou Manizer I broke mine but I still love it.  It gives such a bronze, glow finish to the skin I just put it ev

Military Sunday

When I attended Fashion Week in February one of the trends for the upcoming season was military style which to be honest, I'm not mad at.  I love military styles and khaki greens.  Here is an outfit I wore today in what seems like the first London sunshine of the year.  And also some military outfit inspo from Pinterest. Jacket - Primark Love the gold detailing on this jacket All over military if you're feeling brave Navy if green isn't your colour What do you think of the military trend?
