Christopher Kane: Watch This Space

Last week I entered a competition with London Fashion Weekend to write a piece for their blog.  I didn't win the competition unfortunately but they have given me a press pass to attend which I'm very excited about.  Anyway, I thought I would share the piece that I wrote with you.  The spec was to write about your favourite designer who would be featuring at Fashion Week.  I wrote about Christopher Kane. Christopher Kane is a fashion designer from Scotland who got his first glimpse of fame in 2005 by winning the LancĂ´me Colour Award.  At the time, he was studying at Central St Martin’s College in London and working for fellow designers Russell Sage and Giles Deacon. Kane’s designs are very ‘out there’ and stand out from the crowd.  There is definitely nothing boring or bland about his designs and he is well known for his use of neon colours. I first spotted Christopher Kane in 2009 when he launched a range for Topshop.  I think it was a great idea for him to work

Outfits of The Week

So with London Fashion Week just around the corner I thought what better time than to do an updated Outfits of The Week! Starting off with this rock chick look.  I'm wearing Raybans (yes it was sunny this day surprisingly!), my 'Run DC10' t-shirt I got in Ibiza, black waxy skinny jeans from River Island and red converse.  I was meeting my mum for lunch this day so I just wanted something comfortable and thought this went well.  Millie Mackintosh has these skinny jeans which is why I originarly bought them and now I'm obsessed.  You can dress them up and down.  I was meeting my mum just a short walk from my flat so obviously had to have my Beats for my tunes! This is me in Liverpool town centre and it was bloody freezing this day.  (I'm also hungover if you can't tell from my face).  Therefore, I wanted to wear something super comfty, especially as I was travelling back to London later that day.  I'm wearing my Hermes Homies beanie, a black lo

All About My Hair

Those of you that follow my blog or have read previous posts will know that I have keratin bonded hair extensions in so I thought I would give you a little run through of the products I use to maintain them. Shampoo and Conditioner To wash my hair I really like to use L'oreal Expert colour shampoo and conditioner.  I buy this at Sally's or Salon Services and it comes in a 750ml bottle which lasts for ages.  I always colour my hair so I prefer to use products that are going to hold the colour in well. Hair Mask Once a week I like to apply a hair mask to the ends and length of my hair to really make it soft and healthy looking.  For this I use Boot's Coconut and Almond Intensive Hair Mask which smells amazing, leaves your hair super soft and is a bargain at only £1.99. Leave In Conditioner Once I get out the shower I like to spray a bit of TIGI's leave in conditioner through the lengths just to soften it up and make it more easier to brush through

MAC Eyeshadow Pigments Review

I have recently really gotten into pigment eyeshadows for nights out.  They give a lot more intense colour for added glam, last ages and come in really pretty shades.  What's not to like! I thought I would give you the low-down on my top 3. Frozen White This pigment is like a pearly white colour with a bluey purple shimmer to it.  It's really pretty to put over other colours to just give them a slight sparkle or can be worn on it's own maybe if you're going for a bold lip and don't want anything too intense on the eyes. You could also use it as a highlight as it's the perfect colour for that. Old Gold This is just a great colour to have because gold eyeshadows will go with any look and compliment any eye colour.  This one is like a frosty gold and works well with a bronzed smokey eye which I love to do, especially with a dark lip colour. Blue Brown Lastly this is this gorgeous brown colour with a bluey green shimmer.
