Autumn ASOS Wish List

Fall is pretty much here even though right now in Los Angeles it really doesn't feel like it. I know when I get back to London it's going to feel hella cold, but that's okay because it's an excuse to buy more clothes right?! I think this is the time of year that I like to go through my wardrobe and get rid of stuff I don't want.. And replace with new things! Here are a few things currently on my wish list for Autumn.  Lauren xx

Kylie Jenner Makeup Look

Hello from America! I'm currently sitting in the airport after an amazing few days in Vegas and now waiting for my delayed flight to LA for the next part of my adventure. And it got me thinking what kind of post I wanted to write next. Whenever I think of LA the Kardashians always come to mind amongst other things. Although Kendall is my ultimate fave I do love the way Kylie does her makeup. Kylie actually seems pretty talented with the way she does her makeup and I particularly love the lip colours she is always rocking.  I am yet to try one of her lip kits but will perhaps try to pick one up during this trip. Anyway, here is a look I created a few weeks ago that was inspired by Kylie herself. It's a sparkly eye with a browny nude lip that I tried to overdraw haha.  Makeup used: Eyes - MUA glitter liner all over the lid Lashes - Cherry lashes Lips - Rimmel liner in Eastend Snob Are you a fan of Kylie's makeup looks? 3 Ideas For Wearing Dungarees in Autumn

That's right, it's not officially autumn or fall, whatever you want to call it, it's here. Although I must say London is still pushing the sunshine out.  It's 31 degrees here today! The hottest September we've had in 50 years apparently.  Anyway, totally off subject.  I want to talk about dungarees today because I think they are just so cute. Dunagrees can be worn in all seasons which is why they are so versatile and I just love them even more for it.  I'm flying around Canada and America until the end of the month and I have no idea what the weather will be like from one city to the next but at least with my trusty dunagrees I know I will be okay. Here are 3 ways I styled them. Which way is your fave? Lauren xx Instagram | Twitter | YouTube

Undressed At The V&A

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is one of my faves.  Firstly because they have the most beautiful grounds where you can sit and enjoy lunch or a peaceful coffee but also because they host such fabulous and well put together exhibitions.  I got to see the Alexander McQueen exhibition here ( see this post ) which was one of my all time favourites. This time around I was here to see the latest fashion exhibition, Undressed.  Undressed is all about underwear through the ages and how it has evolved.  It sounds rather strange but it's actually quite fascinating to see, especially the corsets!  I honestly don't know how the women breathed in those. The exhibition is split onto two levels with the downstairs showcasing the underwear and the upstairs showcasing more outerwear such as the iconic see through maxi dress worn by Kate Moss in 1993.  Keeping with the corset theme they had a beautiful one worn by Dita von Tease. It's a

Beauty Trend: Matching Lipstick and Nail Polish

I was flicking through a magazine a while back (I know, so old school) and noticed this new beauty trend that everyone seemed to be donning.  It's matching your lipstick with your nail polish, hardly ground breaking and I'm not sure why no-one thought of it before (or maybe they did?) but it seems to be everywhere at the moment. With Fashion Month in full swing I'm wondering how much it will catch on?  I'm not sure how much of a fan I am myself.  The concept is great but in reality, for us working girls, is it a bit high maintenance?  I'd say I'm probably "out out" 2-3 times per week where I'm likely to pick a different lipstick colour each time but I definitely don't have time to remove and change my nail colour this much. What do you think of this trend?  Just a fad and we should leave it to socialites with more time on their hands (excuse the pun)?  Or will you give it a go?  I guess every now and then for special occasion

Workout Playlist

Exercise is a big part of my life but with work being an even bigger part of my life I sometimes can't always make it to the gym.  Therefore, I like to work out at home, normally with a workout I've found on Pinterest.  However, I find that if I'm working out at home I need a bit more motivation to do it so I created a workout playlist to help with that. Workout Playsuit Lush Life by Zara Larsson Can't Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake Work From Home by Fifth Harmony This Is What You Came For by Calvin Harris I Took A Pill In Ibiza by Mike Posner Cake By The Ocean by DNCE My House by Flo Rida Hype by Dizzee Rascal Wobble by Flo Rida Ain't Got Far To Go by Jess Glynne What's on your workout playlist? Over The Weekend

This weekend was fun.  It was the perfect balance of going out, staying in, spending time with friends, spending time with family and also alone time. Friday I went to work as usual in the morning and then left the office around noon to go attend a meeting which was subsequently cancelled and so I had a nice little lunch time catch up with my old boss.  We wanted to go for a posh coffee so headed to the nearby Hilton. However, after ordering we were served Costa Coffee!  Nothing wrong with Costa but not as posh as we thought it would be. I then caught up with some other colleagues I hadn't seen in a while before heading home via M&S Food (obvs).  Once home I got a couple of hours to relax (and eat), went out to pick up my ASOS orders and then got ready to meet some friends in the pub for birthday drinks (my friend's birthday, not mine).  It was so nice to see everyone as it was a really good turn out.  We hadn't been to this particular pub in ages and w

The Best Foundation For On The Go

This year I've traveled a lot.  8 flights so far with a fair few road trips thrown in and next week I'm off to America for 2 weeks.  This means that I've had to become quite the savvy packer especially as quite a lot of the flights have been hand luggage only or have included lay overs where I might want to have a quick change or top up my makeup. I was probably a bit late to the party on this one as I always am but I've been loving using the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue all summer long since I purchased it in May.  I've taken it on every holiday with me and it's been the perfect addition to my makeup bag. I love it because it has SPF30 which I always like to have one my face when in hot destinations, it has a light but even coverage and it applies really well with your fingers.  I have mine in the shade ginger 06 which is great for when I'm tanned or have fake tan on. It really sheers out on the skin but can be buildable. I also love

Swansea, Wales

Swansea was so pretty even though we didn't have the best weather.  It was nice to be at the beach and get out of the concrete jungle of London for the weekend.  I would love to go back when the weather is nicer and perhaps see more of the country. Have you ever visted Wales? Lauren xx  Instagram | Twitter | YouTube
