Friday Favourites: My Cookbook Collection

I was never really in to cooking.  I just didn't know how and always ended up burning things.  There was once an incident when I tried to cook beans on toast and I put a slice of bread on a plate with cold beans on top and shoved it in the oven for 20 minutes (plate included!).  Needless to say the beans and bread were completely burnt and the plate cracked as soon as I removed it with my masterpiece (ahem) falling on the floor.  Mum was not happy one bit!

However, now I live by myself I started to get into cooking a bit more.  I'm still not great at it and use the microwave a lot (not microwave meals for one might I add!) but I actually really enjoy it.  I never feel confident enough to cook for others but that's okay, more for me :)

Here are some great cookbooks I have in my collection, mainly of healthy recipes, that have given me inspiration over the last few years.

Do you have any recommendations for me?  I can't wait to buy Millie Mackintosh's Made book when it's released next month.

Hope you're all having a Happy Friday, I'm off out to enjoy the sun.  Peace!

Lauren xx
