The Audrey Hepburn Exhibition

This weekend I had the privilege of attending a private blogger's viewing of the Audrey Hepburn Exhibition that is currently on display at The National Portrait Gallery in London.

Audrey Hepburn has been an icon of mine and many other woman for many years so I was extremely excited when I received this invitation.

When I arrived I was meeted and greeted before being shown into a room where we had a curator give a short talk on the exhibition and the life of Audrey Hepburn.

The exhibition celebrates 65 years since Audrey Hepburn first performed at London 's West End nightclub Ciro's.  From here she excelled into the Hollywood Legend that we all know and love but the fame, glamour and actress lifestyle wasn't all that defined her.  She was a fascinating woman that lead an extraordinary life.

She did a lot of missionary work for UNICEF and after she was done with Hollywood she dedicated her life to it.

She was without doubt a truly talented person and was fluent in 6 languages!  Her most famous work and for what most people remember her by is her leading role in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

After the talk we got to look around the gallery and see some beautiful snapshots of Audrey Hepburn in action.  They also had some photos from her family collection that had not been seen before.

I learnt so much more about this iconic lady and now love her so much more!

If you get the chance to see this exhibition I would highly recommend it.  It's on until 18 October and you can book tickets here.

Thank you so much to The National Portrait Gallery for inviting me to this amazing exhibition!
