Ibiza 2014

Last week was absolutely manic for me and I am still recovering (getting old!).  I started the week with a 3 and a half hour exam and 12 hours later I was on a plane to Ibiza where I spent the next 4 days.

Ibiza is my favourite place to visit during the summer and this was my 4th time on the island.  I love it because I’m such a huge music fan and go mad for all the top DJs that play out there.

It was pretty full on this year and we spent most days at JetApartment pool parties or raving on Bora Bora Beach.  I normally stay in San Antonio which is generally quieter during the day and really comes alive at night with the West End bars.  This year I stayed in Playa d’en Bossa which is livelier during the day with not so many bars in the evening.

The first night we went to Amnesia for a night called Together.  This is my favourite night of the week as it plays host to drum and bass and dubstep DJs.  The rest of Ibiza is mainly house music.

This year I got to see Andy C, Chase & Status, Sub Focus and Hannah Wants at Amnesia.  They were all awesome and I even bumped into Hannah Wants in the toilets!  You should definitely check her out if you haven’t already.  She’s such a sweet girl and a great DJ.

The next night we did Space which wasn’t really that busy.  There were probably about 100 people in there but because of the sheer size of the club it makes it look about 10 people.  I always find Wednesdays in Ibiza a bit of a funny night because there’s not loads going on.  Flux Pavilion was playing in Pacha which I’d love to have seen but we were going there the following night so my friends weren’t so keen.

So then the final night we managed to get tickets for the usually sold out F**k Me I’m Famous by David Guetta at Pacha.  This was A-mazing!!!  So so packed but such a good show.  He did a two and a half hour set so although the tickets cost us 70 EUR it was so worth it and I was glad to get tickets because normally when I go in July or August they’re completely sold out.

The final day was spent in Ocean Beach Club.  This is a rather swanky establishment and it feels really luxurious to lounge about in.  The music was pumping and the sun was shining so it was the perfect note to finish my trip on.

If you would like to see my Ibiza packing videos you can view them here and here.  I also filmed an Ibiza vlog which I hope to get up this week so make sure you subscribe to view it.
