I know my last few posts have been these but they're probably my favourite kind of posts to write, cover pretty much everything and I figured if I had quite a busy, interesting weekend then it would be nice to write about it on my blog.

 

 

Wear

 

Friday night I went out with work to a bar near London Bridge which we had hired out the upstairs function room.  I wanted to wear something that would work both in the office and in the bar so I went for a floral dress from Primark with a skinny belt, an orange (although my friends are calling it coral) blazer from Next and chunky wedged ankle boots from ASOS.  If I can find a photo of any of these items I will.

Saturday I went to Westow House in Crystal Palace for a friend's leaving drinks.  He is leaving London to travel the world for a year!  For this I opted for my faithful black strapless dress from French Connection, a metallic blazer from Missguided and magenta suede heels from New Look.  I also decided to go for a navy smokey eye using my new Collection palette and I was quite happy with how it turned out.  I curled my hair using a curling wand (tutorial here).

Life

 

I really feel that I've settled into my new job role now and I'm absolutely loving it.  I'm so happy with the decision I made and so far have no regrets!  It was good to have work drinks with everyone on Friday and meet up with some people from my old office I haven't seen in a while as when I changed roles I also changed offices.  When I first moved there was so much change it was a little overwhelming but now I can see that change is a good thing.

 

I FINALLY bought the digital SLR camera that I've been going on and on about for ages.  I went for the Nikon D3200 and it's amazing.  I still need to have a good play around with it yet but look out for some super duper pictures coming haha. 

 

I've never been out in Crystal Palace before but I really liked the place we went to.  It's a rather big venue, has a large outside area at the front and then it's rather quirky inside.  I would definitely go there again.

 

 

Eats

 

I was so busy this weekend I didn't get time to cook anything yummy as I do enjoy cooking so instead I was a bit naughty and ordered pizza!  I haven't had pizza in about 2 months to be fair and each weekend I do normally treat myself to a cheeky take away so Sunday was all about a half margarita half vegetable supreme stuffed crust.  Yep, I loooooooooooove me some cheese.

 

This week I have a craving for eggs so I think I might go for a easy and quick mushroom omelette.
